As this year’s CFWF conference gets closer, our committee meetings have changed from big picture to nitty gritty details. We had another meeting this morning and as I reflect back on what we have accomplished so far, it’s a little hard to believe how far we’ve come since our first meeting last summer.

A core group of dedicated volunteers makes up our steering committee. Each of them in turn is a chair or co-chair of a sub committee, which involves additional helpers. I have participated in a lot of committee projects throughout both my working years and during my schooling, and I can easily say that this has been one of the most enjoyable committee experiences I’ve ever had.

I know we’re still two weeks away…but a thank you already must go out to Kelly, Jane, Clare, Leslie, Owen, Barry, Kim, Bern, Martin, Suzanne and Sarah, as well as to sub committee members Karen D, Allison, Kristy, David, Jamie, Carol, Karen M, Rosalie, Sally and anyone else who has been helping us out. This includes the summer students at the Ontario Farm Animal Council and our fabulous webmaster Kyle. You guys are great.
