Almost 500 million chicken wings were consumed by hungry fans during the Super Bowl this past Sunday, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.
The US poultry industry produces about 11 billion chicken wings per year or 42 million per business day – which means hungry American football fans ate their way through 11 days of chicken wing production in a single day!
