I just came across a cool website – one that helps you find the perfect cheese-y soul mate for your wine, beer, brandy, scotch or port.

If you’ve ever wondered what would be a perfect love match for champagne (brie, camembert, edam or gouda) or that pint of weiss bier (feta, gruyere or swiss), then this site is for you.

Created by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, the site not only describes the many different types of cheese and their characteristics, it also sprinkles cool farming facts liberally throughout its cheese ‘n drink suggestions. Facts like:

* the average Wisconsin dairy cow generates $17,000 of economic activity

* One out of every four pounds of US cheese is produced in Wisconsin

* there are more than 600 varieties, types and styles of Wisconsin cheese
