What we really think about food and farming

Local food is in, the 100 mile diet is cool and we’re being advised to buy in season fruits and veggies to both be healthy and reduce the carbon footprint.

But what do Canadians really think about food, farmers and farming?

Ipsos Reid will be releasing the results of their latest Canadian public attitudes study on agriculture this upcoming week.

Senior Ipsos researcher Colin Siren will be speaking at the annual meeting of AGCare and the Ontario Farm Animal Council in Guelph ON on March 12.

The study just wrapped up at the end of February, so the results are hot off the press, so to speak. Results will be posted here – or you can catch them on Twitter as I’ll be live-tweeting the event.

Stay tuned!
