Farm journalists are Texas bound – #AgMS
It’s time to hit the road for another International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) congress. This year takes us to Fort Worth, Texas where the US hosts are set to welcome more than 700 delegates from up to 30 different countries.
We’ll be immersed in the cowboy spirit during our stay in Fort Worth, learning about agriculture in Texas, getting reacquainted with international delegates and brushing up on our professional development skills.
But as hosts of this premier event in two years’ time, we Canadians will also be promoting our congress and encouraging people to start thinking about coming to Canada to “Experience New World Agriculture” in 2011.
For myself, this will be my third IFAJ congress. I began blogging right around the time I went to the congress in Japan in September 2007 – and have been steadily at it ever since. You can check out IFAJ 2007 and IFAJ 2008 (hosted jointly by Austria and Slovenia) through archived posts on this blog.
Stay tuned for updates from Texas – I’m looking forward to finally experiencing some heat and sun this summer!
