Kudos to Better Farming!
The work of Better Farming’s journalists has earned a finalist position in the Canadian Association of Journalists’ 2007 awards competition.
Robert Irwin, Don Stoneman and Mary Baxter’s article, “Faith in Arlan Galbraith: Ontario’s Pigeon King” was among five articles selected as finalists in the competition’s magazine category.
“I’m delighted and incredibly honoured to learn our work was included in the list of awards finalists,” says Robert Irwin, Better Farming’s managing editor. “This competition holds the country’s journalism community’s utmost respect for its efforts to recognize the best work produced in Canada each year. The honour of having our work considered alongside some of Canada’s top investigative journalists can’t be understated.”
All three journalists are members of the Eastern Canada Farm Writers Association. The winners of the competition will be announced during the association’s annual conference in Edmonton on May 24.
CAJ is a national non-profit organization acting as a national voice for Canadian journalists from all media. Published 10 times a year, Better Farming is Ontario’s largest circulation farm business publication, and is owned by AgMedia.
