Discussing agriculture’s future at AgendaCamp
Discussions on the future of the agricultural economy in Ontario are well underway as about 100 participants are gathered here in Kingston today for AgendaCamp.
TVO’s The Agenda is hosting this forum as part of their On the Road series on the economy this fall and winter. Participants today include farmers and agri-food representatives, entrepreneurs, political leaders as well as ordinary citizens who care about food, farming and the future of the agricultural economy in Ontario.
The topic that has generated the most interest so far – with three separate discussion groups – is how to attract more young people to either stay on the farm or get into farming as a career choice.
You can follow the debates as each session posts its ideas and participate by signing up for the AgendaCamp wiki.
